Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Playwright E2E Tester to join our Quality Assurance (QA) team. The ideal candidate will have handson experience in writing maintaining and executing endtoend tests using the Playwright framework to ensure the functionality performance and reliability of our web applications. You will collaborate with developers product managers and other QA engineers to deliver highquality software that meets user expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design develop and maintain automated E2E test scripts using Playwright for web applications across multiple browsers (Chromium Firefox WebKit).
- Execute test cases to validate user workflows UI functionality and API integrations.
- Identify document and track defects using bugtracking tools (e.g. Jira Bugzilla).
- Collaborate with development teams to understand requirements and ensure test coverage aligns with product goals.
- Integrate Playwright tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Jenkins GitHub Actions CircleCI) for continuous testing.
- Perform crossbrowser and crossdevice testing to ensure compatibility and responsiveness.
- Analyze test results generate reports and provide actionable feedback to stakeholders.
- Stay updated on Playwright updates best practices and emerging testing tools/technologies.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure test scripts are efficient reusable and maintainable.
Requirements
- 2 years of experience in automated testing with at least 1 year using Playwright for E2E testing.
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript (Playwright s primary languages).
- Strong understanding of web technologies (HTML CSS DOM REST APIs).
- Experience with test frameworks and tools (e.g. Jest Mocha or similar).
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and processes (e.g. Jenkins GitLab CI GitHub Actions).
- Knowledge of version control systems like Git.
- Ability to write clear maintainable and welldocumented test scripts.
- Strong problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with other testing tools like Selenium Cypress or Puppeteer.
- Familiarity with cloud testing platforms (e.g. BrowserStack Sauce Labs).
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Experience testing mobile web applications or PWAs (Progressive Web Apps).
- Knowledge of performance and accessibility testing.
