As an Associate Security Engineer youll support our offensive security team by executing entrylevel penetration testing and triage under supervision. Youll focus on developing fundamental assessment skills and honing your report writing abilities.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the project lifecycle providing input on scoping and more.
- Perform penetration tests on web applications and networks.
- Document and report findings with guidance on proper formatting and detail.
- Begin building familiarity with scripting for automated testing.
- Accurately assess risk for most of your own findings.
- Develop and maintain your technical skills and stay aware of industry trends (through attaining and maintaining relevant certifications).
- Follow up on bug reports and tickets.
- Participate in red team activities and security research within the Offensive Security team.
Qualifications :
Skills and Experience
- Experience working in a software development or cyber security
- Familiarity with vulnerability scanning and exploitation tools (nmap Metasploit and Burp Suite).
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (TypeScript JavaScript Python Go or Rust).
- Basic knowledge of version control (e.g. Git).
- Strong reporting skills including the use of project management or ticketing systems (Jira).
