What will you be doing
ALTEN Ltd is a leading engineering consultancy supporting major clients across the automotive aerospace defence and energy sectors. We provide expert engineers to help deliver cuttingedge projects that shape the future of technology.
We are looking for a Battery Cooling Engineer to work on advanced battery thermal management systems for electric and hybrid vehicles. This role will focus on design simulation and validation of cooling strategies to ensure optimal battery performance and safety.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Develop and optimize battery cooling solutions (liquidcooled aircooled refrigerantbased).
- Conduct thermal analysis and CFD simulations to assess heat transfer and cooling efficiency.
- Work closely with powertrain electronics and software teams to integrate cooling systems.
Who are we looking for
- Support prototype development rig and vehicle testing and validation activities.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Familiarity with battery pack design electrification and highvoltage systems.

Qualifications :
Experience skills and qualifications required:
- Degree in Mechanical Automotive or Thermal Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- Experience in battery cooling thermal management or HVAC systems in the automotive sector.
- Strong knowledge of CFD tools (e.g. ANSYS Fluent Star CCM).
- Experience in testing and validation of thermal systems.
