What will you be doing
ALTEN Ltd is a trusted engineering consultancy delivering expert solutions in software systems and embedded engineering across the defence aerospace and automotive industries.
We are hiring a Systems Test Engineer to work on complex verification and validation (V&V) projects ensuring critical systems meet performance and safety requirements.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Develop and execute test plans test cases and test scripts for software and hardware systems.
- Conduct functional integration and system testing for embedded and safetycritical applications.
- Utilize HiL (HardwareintheLoop) SiL (SoftwareintheLoop) and test automation frameworks.
- Work closely with systems engineers software developers and hardware teams to define test requirements.
Who are we looking for
- Analyze test results identify defects and support debugging activities.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards (e.g. DO178C ISO 26262 IEC 61508.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (Python MATLAB CAPL) for test automation.

Qualifications :
Experience skills and qualifications required:
- Degree in Systems Engineering Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience in software and hardware system testing for aerospace defence or automotive applications.
- Handson experience with HiL/SiL testing and automation tools (e.g. dSPACE NI Veristand Vector CANoe).
- Knowledge of requirementsbased testing and safetycritical systems.
