Job Description
Role:
As Design Manager in an large international project including several global suppliers and contractors you will play a key role in coordinating planning and leading the design delivery. You will work closely with suppliers contractors and internal teams to support the overall goals of the project by ensuring the quality and consistency of the design solutions. Your ability to manage cultural and organizational differences while driving and coordinating the design work is critical to the projects success.
Essential requirements:
- At least 15 years of work experience
- At least 710 years of experience in design work of which at least 3 years in a leading role in international projects or programs.
- BIM coordination experience.
- At least 5 years of experience as a project manager.
- Documented experience of design work in large investment projects with many technically difficult interfaces
- Experience in collaborating with international suppliers contractors and multidisciplinary teams
- Strong understanding of global design standards regulations and cultural differences
- Documented experience of leading design work in complex and crossfunctional project environments
- Experience from Energy/chemical sector or equivalent
- Education: Master of Science in Engineering or equivalent
- Excellent in English both written and spoken.
Meritorious:
- Experience from Mega projects
- Experience of working with different requirements management tools like Polarion or similar
- Experience working with different review tools like Bluebeam or similar
- Trained project manager according to IPMA/PMI or equivalent
