Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and strategic leader to head our department. The successful candidate will provide vision direction and leadership to the department ensuring alignment with the organizations overall goals and objectives. The Head of Department will be responsible for managing and developing the departments staff overseeing budgets and driving innovation and excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and implement the departments strategic plan aligned with the organizations overall strategy.
- Provide vision direction and leadership to the department.
People Management
- Manage and develop a highperforming team including recruitment training and performance management.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment.
Budgeting and Financial Management
- Oversee the departments budget ensuring effective financial management and resource allocation.
- Make strategic financial decisions to drive departmental growth and excellence.
Operational Management
- Oversee the daytoday operations of the department ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.
- Identify and mitigate operational risks.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders including colleagues customers and partners.
- Communicate departmental goals objectives and achievements to stakeholders.
Requirements
- Candidate MUST have a minimum of 810 years in the financial industry specifically as it relates to the loan space.
- Sound knowledge and understanding of CBN regulatory laws.
- Previous expertise in heading a department driving performance product creation and meeting sales targets.
- Strong leadership interpersonal and client relationship skills
- A degree in Finance Economics or Business Administration from a reputable institution.
