This is a remote position.
Schedule:
- 20 hours per week
- Monday to Friday flexible between 9AM to 5PM Auckland NZ

Job Description

As the Social Media Specialist for this forwardthinking company you ll be at the forefront of their digital transformation spearheading the launch and growth of their YouTube channel while managing a suite of social media platforms. Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy with a primary focus on launching and growing a successful YouTube channel
- Create curate and schedule engaging content across multiple platforms ensuring a balance between entertainment and education for a young audience
- Manage the posting schedule including at least two YouTube videos per week and regular stories on other platforms
- Foster community engagement through responsive communication and creative interaction strategies
- Design and implement social media advertising campaigns with a focus on Meta (Facebook) platforms
- Collaborate with the business owners on content ideation bringing fresh ideas to the table that align with the company s mission and values
- Assist with video editing and content creation to ensure a cohesive brand voice across all channels
- Stay ahead of social media trends and platform updates adapting strategies to maximize reach and engagement
- Analyze social media metrics and provide regular performance reports offering insights and recommendations for continuous improvement
- Contribute to the development of monetization strategies for social media platforms helping to generate additional revenue streams
Requirements
- 3 years of experience in social media management preferably in the education or children s entertainment sector
- Proven track record of growing social media accounts and significantly increasing engagement
- Expertlevel knowledge of various social media platforms with particular emphasis on YouTube and Facebook
- Demonstrated success in running effective social media advertising campaigns especially on Meta platforms
- Exceptional content creation skills including copywriting and basic video editing
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret social media metrics and translate them into actionable insights
- Selfmotivated with excellent time management skills capable of thriving in a remote work environment
- Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of New Zealand Sign Language is a significant plus
- Passion for children s education and entertainment with a creative flair for producing content that resonates with young audiences and their parents
- Ability to adapt to the company s unique voice and mission while bringing innovative ideas to the table
