Job Description
- Build and maintain financial models to support project investment decisions ensuring accuracy and proper incorporation of key inputs. Conduct sensitivity analyses to assess investment risks.
- Analyze and evaluate financial options for business development projects or funding needs providing wellreasoned recommendations.
- Advise internal stakeholders on risk allocation financial viability of project contracts and optimal structuring to maximize returns throughout the business development process.
- Serve as the primary finance contact for investment business cases consolidating accounting tax treasury and corporate finance considerations.
- Lead the structuring negotiation and of financing agreements for medium to largescale transactions ensuring adherence to project finance best practices.
- Prepare and deliver presentations for lenders and management discussions while negotiating key financial terms in transaction documents.
- Identify financial and economic risks associated with projects and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies and contingency planning.
- Coordinate and manage external parties such as banks consultants and legal teams along with internal stakeholders to ensure successful transaction closures.
- Perform additional tasks as required.
- Qualifications Bachelor s degree required with Finance or Economics major (CFA CIMA ACA ACCA or equivalent is preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of experience (M&A Project finance in investment bank private equity fund or strategic energy company)
- Industry preference: Renewable Generation Market Retail Energy Services
- Extensive experience in the renewable energy sector specializing in structuring tax equity investments for wind and solar projects.
