Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Remote Routing Network Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role will be instrumental in designing implementing and maintaining our complex network infrastructure ensuring optimal performance and security.
Responsibilities:
Design configure and troubleshoot complex routing and switching environments including LAN WAN and data center networks.
Implement and manage routing protocols (e.g. BGP OSPF EIGRP) and switching technologies (e.g. VLANs STP EtherChannel).
Configure and maintain network security devices (e.g. firewalls VPNs intrusion detection/prevention systems).
Perform network capacity planning and performance optimization.
Monitor network performance and proactively identify and resolve network issues.
Develop and maintain network documentation including network diagrams configurations and procedures.
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to implement new network technologies and solutions.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for networkrelated issues.
Stay uptodate with the latest networking technologies and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Networking or a related field.
5 years of experience in network engineering with a focus on routing and switching.
Strong understanding of routing protocols (e.g. BGP OSPF EIGRP) and switching technologies (e.g. VLANs STP EtherChannel).
Experience with network security devices (e.g. firewalls VPNs intrusion detection/prevention systems).
Proficiency in using network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
US Citizenship or Green Card Holder required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Industry certifications (e.g. CCNA CCNP CCIE).
Experience with cloud networking (e.g. AWS Azure GCP).
Experience with network automation and scripting (e.g. Python Ansible).
Experience with SDWAN technologies.
Experience with VoIP and QoS implementation.
