About this job:

For our Dublin office we are seeking a Business Analyst with actuarial knowledge to join our IT Underwriting Non Life Unit which is part of the Group IT department and responsible for all applications in the underwriting area (Pricing & Modelling Capacity & Exposure Management Portfolio Management & Optimization).

In this role you will support the development of our applications in the Pricing area from the business requirements and application specifications to the definition of the testing strategy and last but not least users support. This position includes the analysis of the requirements and specification design.

Reporting to the Head of Underwriting NonLife Applications your responsibilities will include:

Business Process Analysis & Design in cooperation with the Business Experts:

  • Study information needs system flows data usage and business processes
  • Identify areas for improvement in processes and develop solutions
  • Define the business rules

Solution design and specifications:

  • Specify solutions that meet business needs and requirements
  • Analyze data to identify insights that can inform business decisions
  • Assist the development team in planning and monitoring to ensure successful delivery of solutions
  • Create detailed documentation of business requirements processes and solutions

Solution Testing and Support:

  • Defining and executing tests in collaboration with users
  • Conduct software quality assurance before business testing
  • Plan coordinate and provide support for test activities including user support during acceptance tests
  • Producing the required documentation

Qualifications :

About you:

  • At least 5 years experience analysing business processes in Financial Services
  • Strong analytical skills and highly motivated to understand our business processes
  • Excellent communication and language skills in English (proficient verbal and in writing)
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g. Excel SQL)
  • Experience with software development methodologies such as Agile or Scrum
  • Ability to work effectively within diverse teams and stakeholders
  • Driven towards finding solutions and being responsive
  • A university degree or equivalent in IT/Computer Science
  • Experience in the insurance/reinsurance industry is a plus
  • Actuarial knowledge will be a strong advantage
