Job Description

SCOPE:

The Regional Controller will have handson responsibilities in all areas of accounting including reconciliation fixed assets AP/AR payroll financial statement preparation/ review yearend audit working capital management etc.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Financial report preparation analysis and forecasting
    • Collaborate with corporate accounting FP&A and tax functions to meet compliance and achieve company objectives.
    • Oversee daily finance operations monthend close and ensure accuracy in financial processes.
    • Supervise a team of 2 direct reports and their 6 team members ensuring efficient workflows accuracy and timely completion. Provide training and identify process improvements.
    • Maintain general ledger accuracy through review of journal entries and reconciliations resolving discrepancies.
    • Lead annual financial audits and support tax payroll and other audit processes.
    • Ensure timely production of financial reports (monthly quarterly annual) in compliance with company and financial standards.
    • Partner with the Director of Reporting to address complex accounting issues for compliance with generally accepted accounting principles.
    • Monitor regional performance vs. budget/forecast identify variances and collaborate with teams to stay on target.
    • Support financial analysis and reporting requests from Sales Operations and Finance teams
    • Manage U.S. cash flow forecasting and reporting and support budgeting and ad hoc reporting needs.
  • ComplianceInternal Control Policies and Procedures
    • Establish and maintain robust internal controls and drive continuous process improvements
    • Collaborate with the Tax Director to manage timely tax filings and payments.
    • Work with the Tax Director to manage quarterly and yearly tax payments to ensure timely filing.
    • o Oversee data for the Physician Sunshine Act Sales & Use Tax and government surveys/census reporting.
    • Ensure adherence to corporate policies quality systems health safety and environmental standards.
  • Working Capital Management
    • Review and set contract payment terms with customers and vendors.
    • Proactively manage accounts receivable identify collection delays and implement plans to improve DSO and reduce overdue balances.
    • Ensure payment schedules align with contractual terms.
    • Regularly review inventory aging and turnover with functional teams to optimize capital efficiency.
  • Payroll Team management and Adhoc Projects
    • Manages the payroll function for all America entities including but not limited to payroll preparation processing and reporting maintaining payroll files and meeting all statutory and regulatory requirements.
    • Strengthen the finance team by coaching mentoring and supporting regional expansion
    • Lead ad hoc projects and participate in formal training as required

Qualifications :

  • Education: BS in Accounting MBA or CPA a plus
  • Experience: 10 years in a similar role with experience leading finance teams in mediumtolarge multinational companies. Experience in a manufacturing environment is required. Background in medical devices pharma or biotech is a plus.
  • Expertise: Accounting collections payroll and payment experience is required.  Strong knowledge of US GAAP IFRS internal controls and financial reporting. Familiarity with manufacturing standard cost purchase price variance closing and reconciliation experience and inventory management are highly desirable. 
  • Technical Skills: Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables) proficiency in Microsoft Word Outlook and PowerPoint. ERP experience preferably with SAP.
  • Competencies: Detailoriented organized proactive and committed to continuous improvement.  Ability to work crossfunctionally.
  • Other requirements: High regard for confidentiality with the ability to handle sensitive company information. Collaborative mindset to work effectively across functions.

The target base salary range for this position will range from $163000 to $180000 annually. Individual compensation for this job requisition will be based on nondiscriminatory factors including your geographic location skills experience education and other factors as they relate to the position requirements.  Actual compensation may vary depending on the confirmed jobrelated skills and experience.

In addition to the expected base compensation this role is eligible to participate in Sirtexs incentive programs (target bonus of 15 for this position) and benefit plans which include paid sick and vacation time health insurance and a generous 401k matching program.
