SCOPE:
We are seeking a highly analytical Senior Cost Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will play a key role in analyzing and managing the companys costs and ensuring accurate reporting to improve operational efficiency. The Senior Cost Accountant will be responsible for tracking analyzing and reporting on production costs inventory valuations and budget variances contributing to financial planning and decisionmaking processes.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain and document agreed upon cost accounting processes to ensure accurate standard costs and COGS in SAP for financial reporting of the global organization.
- Establish/Design cost accounting methodologies in SAP.
- Recommend changes to the Companys processes and policies to reduce costs and maximize profit.
- Analyze report and reduce purchase price variances.
- Maintain and analyze standard cost of existing and newly purchased materials and goods and compile documentation on standard costs to drive efficiencies.
- Analyze sped goods and work with the organization to reduce s.
- Monitor and analyze gross margin on products sold recommending opportunities for cost savings.
- Assist with cost analysis and implementation of standard costs for new products or acquired business development opportunities.
- Work with business development to strategize for new products and develop proper costing at implementation ensure systems are properly configured for new warehouse locations products general ledger assignments and related costing data.
- Inventory Management
- Oversee physical inventory counts and ensure reconciliation with financial records
- Monitor inventory valuations and perform adjustments as necessary
- Coordinate with production teams to manage stock levels efficiently
- Budgeting & Forecasting
- Assist in developing budgets for manufacturing and operational costs
- Track actual expensese against budget and report variances
- Collaborate with department heads to forecast operational needs
- Prepare adhoc reports on COGS and inventory matters as needed.
- Report and communicate to corporate and others globally
- Perform all other duties as assigned
Qualifications :
- BS in Accounting MBA a plus
- CPA preferred
- 7 years of experience in a similar position; experience in a medium or large sized multinational company preferred
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP IFRS internal controls and financial reporting required
- Technical proficiency is required. ERP experience and experience with SAP highly desired
- Experience in a manufacturing environment required preferably in medical device/pharma/biotech environment
- Advanced Excel skills ability to work with pivot tables lookups and IF statements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word Outlook and PowerPoint
- Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across departmental functions
- Selfmotivated to learn new concepts and participate in new projects
- Technically savvy
The target base salary range for this position will range from $107000 to $120000 annually. Individual compensation for this job requisition will be based on nondiscriminatory factors including your geographic location skills experience education and other factors as they relate to the position requirements. Actual compensation may vary depending on the confirmed jobrelated skills and experience.
In addition to the expected base compensation this role is eligible to participate in Sirtexs incentive programs (target bonus of 10 for this position) and benefit plans which include paid sick and vacation time health insurance and a generous 401k matching program.
