Project Description:
The MDO is an E2E service orchestrator that builds productfacing production services from the services of the connected domains. Each domain provides domain services (e.g. copper access) and these are combined by the MDO into aggregated production services that can be used in product definitions. DNA project will deliver the MDO system and support a series of use cases (e.g. 5G Slicing for TDG or Premium Internet Underlay (PIU) for the Solution Business Tribe). Benefits will ramp up with the realization of each release. By modularizing and implementing additional products further benefits can be achieved.
DNA (Drive Network Automation) is an initiative which unites several projects which are building a technologysavvy platform used across different instances and domains intended for automation and orchestration of network elements services and network functions. MDO stands for MultiDomain Orchestrator the platform that orchestrates networks across various domains.
Activity description and concrete tasks:
We are looking for Software / Network Engineers with middle to senior level of telecommunication experience who are interested in joining the team of leading industry experts driving Network Automation and Orchestration initiatives within Deutsche Telekom and its subsidiary national telecom operators.
- Develop data models for network orchestration solutions to configure monitor and perform administrative actions on different network elements
- Implement service workflows using data modelling languages (such as TOSCA and BPMN) and scripting language (Python)
- Interact with the customer to analyze their need and find solutions
- Create or review user stories together with our PO with relevant acceptance criteria and confirm that they are in line with the business rules
- Discuss with all stakeholders (customer technical team and PO) following Agile methodologies (Scrum SAFe) and DevOps practices to make sure that there is no gap at any level.

- MCICD (Gitlab JFROG etc.
- MDO CNF currently hosted on AWS EKS (k8s)
- VSCode or other IDE
- JIRA
- Vendor specific toolkit
Qualifications :
Must have skills:
- Experience in programming with Python and Java (at least 2 years)
- Basic knowledge of networking (e.g. WAN / LAN / routing / 5G slicing)
- Understanding of networking concepts protocols and technologies
- Good knowledge of the conception and development of automation technologies and solutions (orchestration service modelling)
- Knowledge of softwaredefined networking (SDN) principles and cloud networking architectures
- Experience in defining and maintaining complex data models
- Experience in developing of restful APIs
- Version management of software and configuration artifacts (e.g. GIT MCICD)
- Strong problemsolving skills to address technical challenges and optimize automation workflows
- Workflow (e.g. BPMN CAMUNDA)
Nice to have skills:
- Data and status models according to e.g. TMFSID
- Markup languages such as YAML JSON
- Description standards such as TOSCA YANG
- Experience in configuration of key telecommunication service processes: OSR assurance and fulfilment in modern transport networks
- TestDriven development (TDD)
- Model based Automation
- DevOps mindset
