Reporting to the Group Finance Manager you will play a crucial role in managing a wide range of activities essential to our financial operations.
This role will see you;
- Prepare Financial Statements and assist with Audit to ensure adherence to accounting standards while managing retained earnings consolidation account mapping cash flow statements and comprehensive disclosure notes.
- Participate in monthly lease accounting assisting us in our strategic financial initiatives.
- Provide insights into the management and evaluation of goodwill within our organisation.
- Collaborate on the preparation of precise quarterly reports to listed parent company in Japan ensuring clarity and transparency.
- Contribute to our commitment to environmental social and governance standards by preparing meaningful ESG reports.
- Ensure compliance in revenue recognition and financial asset impairments according to our risk management policies.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for compliance matters reinforcing our dedication to regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with risk management to ensure Modern Slavery compliance.
- Support the accurate representation of our financial position through detailed preparation and review processes.
- Engage in internal audit activities contributing to the integrity of our financial practices.
- Assist in ensuring adherence to antimoney laundering and counterterrorism financing regulations.
- Contribute to conducting surveys and managing taxrelated responsibilities effectively.
- Help maintain financial integrity through thorough journal entries and variance analysis.
- Oversee the approval process for bank payments ensuring operational efficiency.
- Manage the fixed asset register to ensure precise tracking and reporting.
- Collaborate closely with the team to facilitate seamless monthend closing processes.
- Assist with JSox reporting and regulatory requirements
You will also have proven abilities in the following:
- A minimum of 5 years postqualification experience in similar roles within large organisations or from audit (Big 4 audit experience preferred).
- Ability to identify and mitigate financial risks and drive actions across teams.
- Strong technical financial accounting knowledge of AASB capable of providing solid technical advice.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to grasp complex ideas quickly and communicate effectively.
- Experience working in a fastpaced evolving environment.
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritise issues.
- Ability to influence and deliver change.
- Teamoriented with a positive attitude.
- Willingness to initiate continuous improvement.
- Proactive and capable of investigating anomalies as they arise.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of Microsoft Suite.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor of Business or Bachelor of Commerce with a Finance/Accounting focus.
- Registered CA/CPA or an equivalent global qualification.
