As an IT Solutions Architect youll enjoy a high profile role and be a key member of a highly skilled and dedicated team that underpins and supports businesswide change by transforming requirements into innovative IT solutions. Based from our offices in Oldbury you will report to a Solution Architect Manager.
Key responsibilities of this role will include:
- Engage with business stakeholders to understand the main goals for change whilst transforming requirements into innovative IT solutions
- Produce comprehensive technical documentation to underpin the solution design
- Work directly with the development team to handover solution designs and support the development lifecycle
Qualifications :
As the successful candidate you will need to be educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant computer science degree. Experience in a Software Development environment is essential.
We would expect you to:
- Have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Solutions Architect/Software Engineer or a similar role in software development.
- Strong handson experience with at least one cloud provider such as GCP AWS or Azure. Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and its core services (e.g. Compute Engine App Engine Cloud Storage Cloud Functions etc. are preferred. Must have an intention to pursue GCP Professional Cloud Architect certification.
- Previous experience in programming languages such as JavaScript and Java along with experience using frameworks like React React Native and Node.js for developing scalable highperformance applications.
- Indepth understanding of serverless computing or similar technologies.
- Expertise in database design implementation and optimisation with handson experience in SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g. Spanner BigQuery).
- Familiarity with modern software development methodologies including Agile and DevOps.
- Knowledge of web API and mobile application security best practices and industry standards.
- Demonstrate an ability to document solutions for handover to Software Developers and maintain a continuous flow of sprints design to developers

- Excellent communication presentation and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
- Strong problemsolving and analytical abilities with keen attention to detail.
