Role purpose
Develops implements and maintains a Regional FF&P (Formulation Fill & Pack) strategy that supports individual product supply chain strategies and delivers global objectives and regional / local needs for both inhouse and for third party FF&P operations. Leads global and/or regional projects/programs. Leads global subnetworks. Line management of regional Asset Network teams (plus other regional project management resources where required).
Accountabilities
As a member of Regional Formulation Fill & Pack Leadership team this role is accountable to:
- Manage implementation of technology and asset strategies for FF&P for inhouse and third party in the region (manage toller segmentation in collaboration with Tolling Manager).
- Support definition of the 5year FF&P capital plan and spend in the region.
- Develop contingency plans for critical FF&P gaps in capacity v demand 5year capacity gap).
- Support the Global Asset Network & Product Siting Head and Global Supply Chain Managers for siting decision in the region for FF&P (both internal sites and tollers).
- FF&P Asset Strategy: In close link with Global Asset Network and Product Siting Head and engaging with the various regional players to:
- Perform detailed analysis definition and implementation of the FF&P asset strategy in the region in close collaboration with FF&P Regional Head Supply Operation Head and FF&P Global Asset Network and Product Siting Head this includes both internal and external facilities (define and monitor consistency in the Segmentation process).
- Assess CP technology strategic fit for existing sites and need for future sites or site development in support of business strategy (link with Capital plan).
- Programmanage (sustainable approach to monitor & update) in his region.
- Regularly report the progress / issues / key actions of the strategy in his region based on the global templates. Manage the appropriate methods and metrics to ensure our asset and technology strategy is implemented in the Region.
- Understand/translate commercial strategies to FF&P production strategies & options.
- Consider PCI (Change management) methodology and approach in overall exercise.
- FF&P Regional Capital Budget & Spend: In close coordination with Regional FF&P Head Engineering PSO Site Managers and Global Asset Network and Product Siting Head to:
- Develop the 5year capital plan for the region. Accountable for timely submission and quality of the data.
- Ensure projects in Capital Plan are aligned with the needs of the FF&P Asset Strategy
- Monitor the FF&P capital spent in the region and ensures delivery vs. budget.
- Support development of business cases (in collaboration with Commercial) for all expansion and efficiency FF&P CP in accordance with Capital Project guidelines.
Qualifications :
Critical knowledge/Education
- Minimum Bachelors in Engineering or Science
- Preferably PMP Certified
Critical experience
- Min 5 years in managing production / manufacturing in a chemical pharmaceutical or petrochemical industries.
- Have worked in similar role involving strategy development and implementation.
- Proven experience in working in regulated environments
- Leadership experience (at least of a small team) and experience developing people.
- Project management experience and exposure to Agile and Lean methodologies.
