Job Description
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care including bathing grooming dressing and toileting
- Help with mobility transfers and positioning
- Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements
- Perform light housekeeping duties including laundry changing linens and kitchen cleanup
- Assist with medication reminders (not administration) according to care plan
- Monitor and record vital signs food intake and overall condition
- Observe and report changes in clients physical or mental status
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Assist with exercises and activities as directed by healthcare professionals
- Transport clients to medical appointments and other outings as needed
- Document care provided and maintain accurate records
- Communicate effectively with clients family members and healthcare team
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of stateapproved Home Health Aide certification program
- Current HHA certification/license as required by state regulations
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation (may be required)
- Physical ability to assist clients with transfers and mobility
- Previous caregiving experience preferred
