Job Description
As a Senior Backend Engineer youll join a growing global team at Wix shaping the future of eCommerce. Youll develop and maintain the core selling and order management capabilities for all Wix verticals. Working in a highly distributed cuttingedge environment youll play a central role in building scalable resilient systems that handle millions of requests per minute.
- Build and maintain backend systems to process 1.5 million API requests and 400000 events per minute
- Design implement and optimize scalable and resilient systems with an APIfirst approach
- Solve highscale technical challenges in a distributed microservices environment 100 microservices)
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure seamless integration and functionality across the platform
- Lead technical initiatives to improve system performance reliability and scalability
- Mentor and guide junior engineers to help them reach their full potential
- Write clean testdriven code ensuring highquality deployments to production for millions of users
Qualifications :
6 years of experience as a backend engineer
Possess an indepth understanding of ObjectOriented Programming (OOP) and SOLID principles
Background in design with passion for TestDriven Development (TDD) methodology
Knowledge and interest in microservice architectures
Actively uptodate with industry trends and developments
Team player committed to the success of the team with proven ability to mentor and guide
