Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering a high standard of compassionate care to both patients and clients
- Planning scheduling for the day
- Caring for hospitalised patients and recovering patients after procedures
- Preparing facilitating and monitoring for procedures
- Planning facilitating and monitoring anaesthesia
- Preparation of patients for procedures
- Ensuring a clean and hygienic environment throughout the hospital
- Assisting with consultations
- Conducting handover of patients
Qualifications :
Requirements:
- Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing Bachelor of Veterinary Nursing or equivalent.
- Must have a minimum of 3 years experience working as a veterinary nurse specialty experience preferred but training can be provided.
- Strong technical nursing skills including proficiency in IV catheter placement blood sampling and performing a TPR.
- Knowledge of RxWorks and Smartflow are desirable but not essential
- Have a good general nursing knowledge base.
- Open to learning and receptive to feedback.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and focused during highpressure situations.
- A positive flexible enthusiastic attitude.
- Have the ability to work closely within a team and autonomously.
- A genuine passion for providing exceptional care to animals their owners and referring vets.
