Job Description
Are you the strategic buyer with experience in Electronics and Embedded Software In this role you can have a significant impact as about 50 of the productrelated procurement is in this area!
What will you do
As a Sourcing Manager Electronics (E) and Embedded Software (ESW) you will join a dynamic team of 9 other Sourcing Managers who all report to the Strategic Procurement Manager. You work closely with Operational Procurement and Continuous Improvement Procurement. Within the Strategic Procurement Team each team member has the responsibility to revolutionize the Source2Contract process for their own part of the technology spectrum and related purchasing markets and suppliers.
Lely manufactures all the different robots itself of which E and ESW account for a significant portion of the parts. In addition Lely continuously innovates. For such projects you will be responsible for procurement of new developments in Electronics and Embedded Software. As a Sourcing Manager Electronics and Embedded Software you work at the Lely head office located on the Lely Campus in Maassluis.
In this transformation mission you will:
- act as the primary business purchasing and technology partner for your internal stakeholders. Your influence will help align our strategic vision with that of our business partners driving innovation and growth;
- identifying new opportunities by obtaining market information from among other things the product and technology offerings of third parties. Your insights will lead to the most innovative and sustainable solutions for dairy farming;
- perform purchasing analyzes and develop a purchasing strategy and plan. You help build a more sustainable and profitable future for dairy farmers. Your expertise and strategic thinking will determine the direction of our sourcing efforts;
- creating collaborations by selecting negotiating and contracting external suppliers in accordance with predefined business and product needs of internal stakeholders you will facilitate collaborations that will advance our vision.
Qualifications :
- Completed a relevant education at college or university level.
- At least 5 years of purchasing experience in a sourcing role in Electronics and Embedded Software.
- Experience in the manufacturing industry.
- Knowledge of strategic (digital) purchasing methods processes and systems as well as SCM.
- Insight into agricultural business and market dynamics.
- Strong negotiation skills and a strategic way of thinking.
- Communicative skills in Dutch and English.
