Job Description
Job Summary
The HVAC Technician role requires the following qualifications and characteristics in a candidate:
Minimum Requirements:
- Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- EPA Universal Refrigeration License is required.
- Experience:
- Five years of experience as an HVAC/R maintenance technician in industrial and/or commercial environments or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in performing preventive predictive and corrective maintenance on HVAC systems including chillers compressors refrigeration and ventilation equipment.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong mechanical and electrical skills.
- Ability to work with HVAC systems and building automation systems.
- Ability to perform routine inspections diagnostics troubleshooting and repairs on mechanical systems and HVAC control systems.
- Ability to recharge refrigerant levels and ensure refrigerant systems are functioning correctly.
- Physical and Special Requirements:
- Ability to pass a medical evaluation for respirator use.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and climb ladders scaffolding etc.
- Must be able to work in emergency conditions and at an accelerated pace.
- Must be able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Computer Skills:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Windows Word Excel Outlook and SharePoint.
- Ability to use a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Security and Certifications:
- Ability to obtain a security access badge at the clients location.
- Ability to obtain an appropriate drivers license.
- U.S. citizenship or permanent residency is required for facility credentials/authorization.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical Education:
- Technical degree in HVAC or related field.
- Industry Experience:
- Experience in regulated environments like GMP hospitals or pharmaceutical campuses.
- Experience with systems like steam systems centrifugal chillers air handling units boilers cooling towers compressors and building automation systems.
- Advanced Technical Skills:
- Experience using a CMMS system:a Computerized Maintenance Management System (EAMS experience is a plus).
- Ability to read and interpret repair manuals specifications and schematic diagrams.
- Communication Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with customers teammates and management effectively.

Looking for an experienced HVAC Technician who is technically skilled has a strong work ethic can handle physical demands is a team player and has excellent communication skills. Preferred candidates will also have experience in regulated environments and advanced technical qualifications.
