Teamworx recruitment have a fantastic opportunity for an Events Coordinator to join their clients 4* Hotel in Waterford City.


Job Overview:

The Hotel Events and Wedding Coordinator is responsible for planning and coordinating weddings and events at the hotel ensuring a seamless and memorable experience for guests. This role involves liaising with clients vendors and internal teams to deliver exceptional service and exceed customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet with potential clients to understand their event or wedding requirements.
  • Conduct site visits and promote hotel packages and services.
  • Prepare proposals contracts and pricing based on client needs and budget.
  • Follow up on leads and inquiries to secure bookings.
  • Plan and coordinate weddings meeting events banquets dining bookings and special occasions.
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients from initial inquiry to postevent followup.
  • Work closely with the operations teams to ensure smooth of events.
  • Arrange menu layouts seating plans and event timelines in collaboration with guests.
  • Maintain accurate records of bookings contracts and event details.
  • Process payments deposits and invoicing in line with hotel policies.
  • Provide a high level of personalized service to clients and guests.
  • Address special requests complaints or lastminute changes professionally.
  • Gather feedback postevent to improve future services.
  • Attend wedding fairs networking events and industry exhibitions to generate leads.
  • Work with the sales and marketing team to create promotional materials.


Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in event planning hospitality or wedding coordination desirable.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple events simultaneously.
  • Creativity and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of current wedding and event trends desirable.
  • Flexibility to work evenings weekends and holidays as required.
