Requirements
- Requirements
- Administer and maintain Azure cloud hosted Linux servers including installation configuration patch management and security updates.
- Perform MySQL and PostgreSQL database administration tasks including installation configuration backups restores and upgrades.
- Ensure high availability and disaster recovery solutions for MySQL and PostgreSQL databases.
- Monitor and optimize database performance including query tuning indexing and server performance adjustments.
- Implement security policies ensure compliance with best practices and manage database user roles and permissions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve databaserelated issues including slow queries locking issues and server performance bottlenecks.
- Automate routine system and database management tasks using shell scripts Ansible or other automation tools.
- Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to implement database solutions and assist in the CI/CD pipeline.
- Conduct regular database health checks and ensure proper indexing partitioning and storage management.
- Ensure data integrity backup consistency and data replication configurations are correctly set up and maintained.
- Manage and support database migrations both onpremise and to cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
- Bachelors degree in computer science Information Technology or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience 5 years) as a Linux System Administrator with indepth knowledge of Linux distributions (e.g. CentOS Ubuntu RedHat).
- Strong handson experience with MySQL and PostgreSQL administration performance tuning and replication.
- Proficiency in shell scripting and automation tools (e.g. Ansible Bash or Python).
- Experience with backup and recovery strategies for MySQL/PostgreSQL databases.
- Strong knowledge of networking concepts (DNS TCP/IP SSH) and troubleshooting.
Qualifications :
BE in IT or equivalent
