Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) Specialist to join our IT team in Malm/Lund. In this role you will be responsible for designing configuring and managing Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environments using Microsoft AVD and Remote Desktop Services (RDS). You will play a key role in implementing security policies troubleshooting issues and ensuring seamless integration with other IT infrastructure components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design configure and manage VDI environments using Microsoft AVD and RDS.
- Implement and maintain security policies for virtual desktop environments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to AVD and RDS systems.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to integrate VDI solutions with IT infrastructure.
- Monitor VDI performance and apply improvements as necessary.
- Provide technical support and guidance to team members and clients.
- Stay updated with latest developments in AVD RDS and virtualization technologies.
Requirements:
- Proven experience with Microsoft AVD and RDS (designing configuring and managing virtual desktops).
- Strong understanding of virtualization technologies (e.g. HyperV).
- Experience with network protocols and technologies (TCP/IP DNS DHCP).
- Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g. PowerShell Python).
- Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with other IT infrastructure technologies (e.g. storage solutions network security).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS Azure).
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Virtual Desktop Specialty
- Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate
