We are currently recruiting for qualified Extended Care Paramedics to join our team in Auckland.
We will also consider applications for our Extended Care Paramedic Internship Programme starting July 1 2025. If you are passionate about providing highlevel patient care and thrive in dynamic environments this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

Qualifications :
Ko wai koe About you:
- Hold a current ATP of ECP or be eligible to enter the ECP Internship programme
- Current Registration and Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) from Te Kaunihera Manapou Paramedic Council (or evidence of submission made)
- Excellent operational and clinical performance to date
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong customer focus
- A genuine commitment to the wellbeing of others
- The ability to work under pressure
- The ability to attend all clinical support and clinical assessment days
- Demonstrate behaviours that align with Hato Hone St Johns core values Do the right thing (Mahi Tika) Side by Side (T Tahi) Straight Up (Mahi Pono) Make it better (Whakapai Ake) Open Minds (Whakaaro Nui)
PreEntry Criteria for internship
- Completion of the AUT Paramedicine Postgraduate Diploma in Health Science which must include the following papers:
- HEAL824 Advanced Assessment and Diagnostic Reasoning.
- PHMY803 Pharmacology Science and Therapeutics.
- PARA808 Community and Remote Paramedicine.
- A The following paper is recommended but not compulsory:
- RADY801 Ultrasound Imaging.
- Be successful in a Preentry interview with a deputy Clinical Director GM Ambulance Operations Emergency Ambulance Service and a Clinical Team Manager. This Interview will include a deep dive into clinical practice past clinical incidents conduct leadership and suitability.
- Manager endorsement from your AOM/DOM.
- You must have a minimum of 2 years consolidation at Paramedic ATP in a high workload area.
