Job Summary
Compensation Range: $85000 $103000
Reporting to the Manager of Corporate Cost Accounting this position is an opportunity to support a key global function for a dynamic growing private company that provides job diversity and an upward career path. Our Corporate Cost Accounting team is the base of expertise for proper costing for MAT worldwide and gets the chance to interact with and support all of our global business units.
Principle Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing and developing cost accounting best practice processes and procedures for our production and distribution facilities worldwide.
- Review and determine root cause analysis related to purchasing production and inventory variances.
- Partner with each business unit to develop raw materials work in process and finish goods at standard costs.
- Participate in gathering data for the monthly Cost Accounting Package for 35 MAT companies.
- Monitor warehouse transactions.
- Assist with the annual budget process including capital budgets.
- Perform other related duties and tasks as required such as bills of materials production routings cost centers activity types allocations and master data maintenance.
- Special projects as assigned.
Qualifications :
Competencies:
- Possess excellent computer skills with an emphasis on Excel.
- Analytical selfmotivated able to work alone or within a team in a fastpaced environment.
- Requires ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Desire to learn.
Education/Experience:
- 4year accounting degree required.
- 35 years of accounting/finance experience with 13 years of recent cost accounting experience in a manufacturing company.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 10.
- SAP experience is also a plus.
