Position Summary:
We are a translational lab focused on gastrointestinal tumour progression and treatment resistance. Our overall goal is to apply new mechanistic insights to better understand cancer progression and develop new therapeutic strategies.
We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to study gastric adenocarcinoma tumour progression. This work will encompass a broad array of approaches including cell and molecular biology gene targeting in human cells/organoids and largescale genomics transcriptomics and immune cell imaging of tissue. We value lab members who are highly collaborative but can also independently develop and guide research projects.
Duties:
- Support PI in translational and clinical research projects
- Plan conduct and analyze basic and translational research
- Support PI in preparing research grants and proposals
- Work with the multidisciplinary team
- Supervise lab technician and students
- Prepare publications/presentations as appropriate
Qualifications :
- PhD M.D. or M.D. Ph. D (or equivalent degree) in cell and molecular biology cancer biology or a related field.
- Broad expertise in cell and molecular biology methods and the ability to master new techniques and approaches.
- Experience with genetically engineered organoids and cell culture and tissue processing.
- Excellent written and communication skills.
- Record of productive and rigorous research including at least one primary publication in a peerreviewed journal.
- Ability to independently plan conduct and analyze research.
