Purpose of the position

We are looking for a Lead who will be part of the team who has a background in Finance Compliance Legal Management and Strategy who is passionate about the social change field.


Key Responsibilities

This role is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing and providing leadership to the Financefunction and all legal matters impacting the Project. This role is crucial in ensuring the Projectsfinancial strategy stability transparency and collaboration across all areas of the Project. Willbe responsible for generating and managing the budget strengthening external relationshipsand supporting the Project Leads with the necessary materials for their roles.

Development and Adaptation of Finance Strategy:
Collaborate with Project Leads to develop and adapt the Finance Strategy toalign with the projects goals and objectives.

Financial Stability and Security:

. Prepare the annual budget in collaboration with all project areas and providemonthly reports to Project Leads.
. Strategically plan the use of project resources over a fiscal year.
. Work with Project Leads to adapt to emerging innovations in financialmanagement.
. Collaborate with partners such as banks or fiscal sponsors to implementsupport where needed.

Integrity Transparency and Awareness:

. Oversee a framework that ensures integrity transparency and awareness infinancial operations.
. Ensure smooth processes for ongoing accounting yearly audits and government
reporting.
. Develop and implement a framework for regular stakeholder (team boardbroader public) financial reporting.
. Review overall financial reporting make recommendations and support changesto enhance clarity and support strategic decisionmaking on a monthly andannual basis.

Relationship Orientation:

. Foster a strong relationship orientation both internally with a serviceorientedapproach towards all team members and within the community with allcollaborators.
. Collaborate effectively with all key finance and administration stakeholders tomaintain positive relationships and achieve project objectives.

Administration Oversight:

. Oversee the administration function of the project including all legal worktechnology and other elements defined as part of the function.

Team Leadership:

. Lead the finance and administration team providing guidance mentorship andsupport to ensure high performance and alignment with organisational goals.


Requirements and competences to work with us

Education
  • A bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Business or related fields.
Experience
  • At least 10 years of experience managing finance and administration services or acting as CFO.
  • Experience in both private/corporate sector and nonprofit/international development organizations.
  • Leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Budget management for multiple projects and collaboration with senior leadership on financial matters.
  • Familiarity with financial reporting software (Xero etc..
Knowledge and skills
  • Fluency (Native proficient) in English; ideally also French and/or Spanish.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to make financial matters understandable for nonfinancial audiences.
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills especially with multiple projects/deadlines in a crossfunctional setting.
  • Comfortable working efficiently in a virtual office environment with minimal direct supervision.

Relevant details before applying for this vacancy

Travel Availability: 1015 of the time (mostly in Europe). At least two confirmed trips per year.
