I. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES
Texas Department of Public Safety requires the services of 1 Project Manager 3 hereafter referred to as Candidate(s) who meets the general qualifications of Project Manager 3 Project Management and the specifications outlined in this document for the Texas Department of Public Safety.
All work products resulting from the project shall be considered "works made for hire" and are the property of the Texas Department of Public Safety and may include preselection requirements that potential Vendors (and their Candidates) submit to and satisfy criminal background checks as authorized by Texas law. Texas Department of Public Safety will pay no fees for interviews or discussions which occur during the process of selecting a Candidate(s).
Performs complex (journeylevel) project management work. Work involves coordinating the planning and initiation of projects at various levels of completion; monitoring the progress and schedule of projects; and communicating with project stakeholders management and other relevant parties. May assign duties and responsibilities and coordinate the work of project staff. Works under general supervision with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
II. CANDIDATE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Requirements:
Candidates that do not meet or exceed the minimum stated requirements (skills/experience) will be displayed to customers but may not be chosen for this opportunity. Years Required/ Preferred Experience 8 Required Experience in project management in relevant areas of project assignment 5 Required Knowledge of PM theories practices applicable to projects that are complex in scope; systems procedures used to evaluate thirdparty vendor’s performance; local state federal laws regulations relevant to the administration of the project undertaken. 5 Required Skill in project management monitoring addressing changes in scope or timing and the use of a computer and applicable software 5 Required Manage projectestablish goalobjectivemake critical decision/judgmentanalyze complex infodevelop planidentify issuenegotiatefacilitate skills identify risk/gapprepare reportcommunicate effectiveassign dutyresponsibilitycoordinate project staff 2 Preferred Experience working in an IT technical operations or development environment with the creation and management of highly detailed actions tasks and schedules. 1 Preferred Experience supporting planning and implementing contingency plans recovery guides or disaster recovery documentation for information technology systems.
