Principal Cloud Engineer DevOps

NIQ is looking for a Principal Cloud Engineer to join ourFinancial Services Engineeringteam. 

At NIQ the Financial Services team uses alternativedatasets to help global public equity investors (hedge funds mutual funds pension funds) make better investment decisions. We work with some of the largest hedge funds in the world. As an Infrastructure Engineer you will be at the cutting edge of the alternative data space where you will help maintain and improve our data infrastructure which enables us to develop market research products and delivery data to our customers. Responsibilities: 

• Design implement and manage cloudbased infrastructure using AWS focusing on services like EC2 RDS S3 IAM SQS and more utilizing infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform for provisioning and configuration. 
• Automate software deployment processes and manage continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to streamline development and deployment. 
• Deploy and manage Airflow in multiple environments such as staging and production using Kubernetes to ensure scalable and robust workflow management. 
• Implement and maintain security best practices for cloud infrastructure to ensure data integrity and compliance with industry standards. 
• Manage and optimize cloud resources to ensure costeffective and efficient operations. 
• Collaborate with the development teams to deploy and manage tools such as Airflow Snowflake Matillion DBT Java Spring Boot Apps and SQL databases. 
• Monitor system performance troubleshoot issues and ensure system reliability and availability. 

Qualifications :

• 7 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer Cloud Engineer or similar role with a strong focus on cloud infrastructure. 
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field. 
• Experience with infrastructure as code (e.g. Terraform CloudFormation). 
• Strong background in Linux/Unix administration. 
• Experience with CI/CD tools and version control systems such as Jenkins GitLab etc. 
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python Bash. 
• Excellent troubleshooting and problemsolving skills.
