Job Description
- Solid understanding of scientific discipline
- Support writing investigations. Develop/strengthen technical writing skills
- Serve as a trainer when needed
- Executes plan/schedule developed by supervisor.
- Support and promote the company vision policies and procedures
- Support and promote lab safety be an example and wear PPE when in lab
- Active involvement with process improvements
- Guide and mentor junior staff to grow technical knowledge
- Monitor progress of critical actions/tasks
- Demonstrate and strengthen leadership qualities
- Write protocols methods and reports of increasing complexity
- Focus is on meeting needs of Sponsors in the context of outputs to the next stage of workflow and customer expectations. Provide consultation for clients when needed.
- Communicate effectively to sponsors in a professional and positive manner in case of testing delays out of spec results or deviation notices.
- Understands extra effort sometimes required to meet group deadlines. Commitment to occasional overtime as workload requires.
- Communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Demonstrate technical writing skills. Informs supervisor and interacts with peers in a clear timely and professional manner.
- Provide coverage for management when needed
- Demonstrate leadership qualities including:
O Effective in communication
O Display of confidence
O Demonstrate motivation and take initiative
O Follow through on assignments - Identify speaking or publishing opportunities and drive to publication or presentation.
- Complies with Health Safety & Environmental responsibilities. Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in biochemistry biology or closely related physical science from a fouryear college/university or equivalent education and training
- 4 years of cell culture experience 4 years of with ELISA.
- Proficiency in cellbased potency assay
- Proficiency in Flow Cytometry
- Experience with PCR method
Additional Information :
Budget salary range of this position is $80000 $110000 based on related experience.
Position is fulltime Monday Friday 8:00am 5:00pm . Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of San Diego CA are encouraged to apply.
