Job Description
Job Overview
We are seeking a detailoriented and experienced Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a background in multifamily construction estimating commercial construction and project management with the ability to effectively build relationships and negotiate contracts. This role is crucial in ensuring accurate pricing and cost control for our projects contributing to the overall success of our operations.
Duties
- Prepare detailed estimates for construction projects by analyzing blueprints specifications and other documentation.
- Utilize software tools such as and Building Connected to solicit trade proposal and create precise cost estimates.
- Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for accurate pricing.
- Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and gather data for estimating purposes.
- Negotiate contract terms with clients and subcontractors to ensure favorable outcomes.
- Monitor project costs throughout the construction process to maintain budgetary control.
- Provide support during the bidding process by preparing bid packages and presenting estimates to clients.
Experience
- Proven experience in construction estimating with a strong understanding of cost control principles.
- Familiarity with project management practices and tools is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in using estimating software particularly and Building Connected.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and subcontractors.
- Experience working on construction sites understanding the practical aspects of building processes.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail ensuring accuracy in all estimates.
