Job Overview
This role whilst based in Malaysia is to assist in the Treasury function for company business entities and to provide professional expertise supporting the companys business growth. She/He also needs to work extensively within the Finance functions to ensure accurate financial reporting and accounting compliance.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Manage groupwide FX risks liquidity trades and projects as part of a Global Payroll Team.
- Manage relationships with international banks and counterparties across APAC EMEA and NA negotiating prices and optimizing trades.
- Monitor and manage daily cash positions ensuring optimal cash flow and liquidity across accounts.
- Identify and recommend investment and borrowing opportunities in line with company policy. Prepare periodic performance analysis.
- Maintain strong relationships with banking partners ensuring efficient communication and negotiation of banking services and fees.
- Identify measure and mitigate financial risks including foreign exchange interest rate and liquidity risks. Implement FX hedge according to asset/liability position.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies regulations and treasuryrelated controls.
- Manage and optimize treasury management systems and processes for efficiency and accuracy.
- Drive process improvement initiatives to streamline treasury workflows and reduce operational risks.
- Prepare and analyze treasury reports including cash flow forecasts financial performance and variance analyses.
- Support monthend and quarterend closing activities including reconciliations and reporting.
- Provide insights to senior management on cash flow trends risks and opportunities.
Requirement
- Experience in a buy/sell side FX dealing environment. Experience with a broad range of currencies. Experience with Asian Exotics is an added advantage.
- Experience with Asset Management (Bonds MMFs etc.
- Confident dealing spot forwards C swaps to manage live exposures. Experience dealing NDFs an added bonus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills in English is a must. Proficiency in Chinese language skills is preferred though not essential.
- Good degree in Finance / Science / Maths ACT Qualifications or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of Treasury and Corporate Finance experiences.
