Our welcoming and diverse school in Brent is seeking a Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo) to join us from September 2025. This is a parttime permanent position offering a fantastic opportunity to lead and shape the schools SEND provision while maintaining a healthy worklife balance.

Your Responsibilities as SENCo:
- Lead coordinate and develop the SEND provision across the school.
- Work closely with teachers teaching assistants parents and external specialists to create tailored learning plans for students with additional needs.
- Oversee the assessment planning and implementation of EHCPs (Education Health and Care Plans).
- Support teachers in differentiating lessons to meet the needs of all learners.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on best practices for SEND inclusion.
- Monitor the progress and wellbeing of pupils with SEND ensuring they receive the necessary interventions.
- Liaise with local authorities and outside agencies to secure additional support when needed.
What Were Looking For:
- SENCo qualification (or willingness to work towards it).
- A qualified teacher (QTS) with experience supporting pupils with SEND in primary education.
- A deep understanding of EHCPs intervention strategies and SEND policies.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to work collaboratively.
- A passion for inclusive education and creating equal opportunities for all students.
- A proactive organised and solutionfocused approach to SEND provision.
