Job Description
At Playnetic we create online slot games that engage excite and immerse players in unforgettable experiences. As Principal Animator youll be at the forefront of that magic pushing animation quality refining visual storytelling and guiding our talented team to bring our games to life.
What Youll Do
- Own and drive the animation direction across our slot games ensuring consistency and highquality .
- Take on complex animation challenges including character movements game flow animations and eyecatching visual effects.
- Work closely with the Animation Director to refine our animation pipeline and set clear guidelines.
- Mentor and support our 2D animators helping them hone their skills.
- Collaborate with game designers developers and artists to create seamless polished animations.
- Ensure animations are optimised for smooth gameplay performance.
- Experiment with new techniques to push the boundaries of whats possible.
What Were Looking For
Expertlevel Spine 2D experience. Youll need to know this inside out.
A strong background in 2D animation for games ideally with 3 years in the slot industry.
A portfolio or showreel that makes us go wow.
Experience mentoring animators and guiding animation projects.
A solid understanding of how animations integrate into game engines.
The ability to troubleshoot and optimise animations for performance.
Great collaboration skills. Youll work with developers designers and fellow animators.
Experience with particle systems visual effects and procedural animations is a plus.
Knowledge of 3D software is a bonus but not essential.

Established in 2023 Playnetic is a new player in the world of gaming entertainment. We design and build slot games from scratch from idea to release. Our games will be played in regulated markets globally through industryleading operators.
