Job Description
Overview:
Under the direct supervision of the Maintenance Manager and/or Maintenance Supervisor the Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance repair replacement and troubleshooting on various models of Hyster Nissan Toyota Crown and related material handling equipment. The ideal Candidate will be proficient in all types of Powered industrial trucks (PITs) to include Liquid Propane (LP) and electric sitdown units and electrical standup units. Candidate must also be able complete all required paperwork needed in either written or electronic format.
Heres what youll do:
- Able to read and understand electrical and hydraulic system schematics
- Able to repair or replace major system components including circuit boards and other electrical parts hydraulic mechanical L.P. systems power steering and transmissions engines with limited supervision.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose most truck components
- Perform engine tuneups on most makes of equipment without supervision Perform proper PMs in a timely manner
- Be able to troubleshoot and diagnose most complex electrical systems on IC and electric trucks
- Be able to use all special tools properly
- Maintain and properly use the normal tools of the trade
- Operate service vehicle in a clean safe and secure manner following all required safety rules for the job Assist with training/mentoring apprentice mechanics through onthejob training.
- Follows all safety procedures in performing work as well as company policies
- Demonstrates exceptional customer service skills
- Properly identify and order all necessary replacement parts
- Perform other duties as required per management
Qualifications :
Heres what youll bring to the table:
- A minimum of two years of proven experience in repair and maintenance on powered industrial trucks will be required
- High school diploma G.E.D. or tech school graduate preferred
- Certified forklift technician preferred.
- Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing in English. Conversational Spanish is highly desired but not required
- Basic Computer knowledge including Microsoft Office (Word Excel Outlook and PowerPoint)
- Must be able to regularly lift up to 10 pounds; frequently lift 11 to 25 pounds.
- Travel Requirements:
- Local travel will be required approximately 30 of the time
- Driving is an essential function of this position and a valid current drivers license must be maintained at all times
Pay Range: $32.10 $36.40 per hour. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.
