Taager is the first B2B startup focused on social sellers Merchants. We are democratizing the social ecommerce space by enabling budding as well as seasoned entrepreneurs to sell online with no required capital inventory or operational experience. We have our Merchants covered from merchandising warehousing shipping cash collection and customer service.
In 2019 we started as a team of 8 people now we are over 350 employees across Egypt KSA and the UAE. We serve more than 34K social ecommerce sellers from incredibly diverse backgrounds from students earning a parttime income to highly ambitious digital marketing experts looking to become solo entrepreneurs. The sellers on our platform benefit from access to 2500 highly marketable products. About the Role:
The Supply Chain and Planning Manager will be responsible for overseeing the entire supply chain process ensuring the timely acquisition of products efficient demand planning and endtoend management of procurement cycles. This role includes searching for innovative products acquiring and negotiating with competitive suppliers and leading a team of supply chain analysts to ensure Taagers operations run smoothly and costeffectively. The role will support strategic growth by optimizing supplier relationships managing inventory levels and aligning supply chain efforts with business goals.
Role Responsibilities:
Demand Planning & Forecasting:
- Develop accurate demand forecasts in collaboration with the commercial and merchant growth teams.
- Implement robust demand planning tools and methodologies to balance inventory levels and avoid stockouts or overstocking.
- Ensure alignment between demand plans and procurement strategies to meet customer demand on time.
Procurement Cycle Management (PR & PO):
- Oversee the complete procurement cycle from purchase requisitions (PR) to purchase orders (PO) ensuring timely and costefficient procurement.
- Manage vendor relationships to resolve issues related to supply delays quality concerns or pricing disputes.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations internal policies and procurement best practices.
Team Leadership & Collaboration:
- Manage and mentor a team of supply chain and planning analysts fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
- Set clear goals provide regular feedback and support professional development for team members.
Process Improvement:
- Identify and implement process improvement opportunities within supply chain operations to enhance efficiency reduce costs and streamline workflows.
- Utilize data analytics to drive decisionmaking and optimize supply chain performance.
About you:
- A minimum of 5 years experience in Supply and Procurement management and Planning
- Proven experience working with suppliers in China UAE and KSA markets.
- Strong Problem Solving Skills
- Strong Communication Skills
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and balance between their needs to achieve common goals.
- Ability to make decisions sharply and quickly
- Strong skills in demand forecasting procurement cycle management and contract negotiations.
- Strong negotiation capabilities with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and terms.
- Ability to use data to drive decisions and improve processes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholder
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
