Job Description
- Responsibility and authority to notify Lead or Supervisor of quality related problems and if necessary to stop production to correct quality problems
- To assist in coordinating the work of production helpers and ensure all work is carried out in a safe manner and all safety rules as followed:
- To operate one or more of the following: the mixing system; calendar; press; hot melt; embosser 1 2 and 3; antisticking agent unit; adhesive unit 1 and 2; U.V. unit; magnetizing unit
- To start up the hot oil heater and water chillers
- Perform quality testing; make corrections for outofspec conditions
- Ensure production scheduled to adhered to
- Assist in training new production employees
- Perform some maintenance on the press and report any needed repairs on the machines
- Assist in labeling and packing parts
- Load and unload trucks
- Housekeeping
Qualifications :
- Education required: High School Diploma or GED
- Experience required: 3 months1 year related manufacturing experience
- Specific skills knowledge and abilities required: Knowledge of metric system computer literate able to operate a forklift and able to read and write
