ELECTRICAL TECHNICAL SPECIALIST

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Technical Specialist to join our innovative team. In this role you will lead the development of electric vehicle components and systems with a particular focus on high voltage batteries and distribution systems. You will collaborate with crossfunctional teams to drive projects from concept through testing and implementation ensuring our solutions meet the highest standards of performance safety and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead development of electric vehicle components and systems specializing in High Voltage (HV) batteries and HV Distribution Systems
- Support System Engineering activities including requirements definition specifications development DFMEAs and DVPs
- Lead testing of prototype assemblies and subassemblies to ensure performance and reliability
- Support System Calibration & Troubleshooting to optimize performance
- Assist in controls and software development for vehicle systems
- Support Vehicle Integration activities including packaging interfaces communication protocols and diagnostics
- Develop comprehensive documentation for build assembly inspection and testing procedures
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor of Science degree from a nationally accredited university or college in Electrical Controls Computer or Mechanical Engineering
- Alternative experience background and qualifications may be considered for exceptional candidates
Experience
- Minimum of ten years experience developing electric or hybrid vehicle component systems
- Proficiency with software development tools including:
- MATLAB/Simulink/Stateflow
- CAN tools/Vector CANalyzer
- Controls Development Platforms: MotoHawk/dSPACE/ETAS/CANape
- LabVIEW
- High voltage training and experience with high voltage battery assembly and service strongly preferred
- Vehicle control systems experience required

- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations pertaining to electric vehicles
