Job Description:
We are seeking a detailoriented Travel Accountant to analyze financial information and prepare reports related to travel expenses. This role involves coordinating accounting systems validating invoices and providing support for budgetary concerns. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring accuracy in financial operations and will collaborate closely with various stakeholders to interpret travel policies effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate computerized accounting systems and maintain accurate financial records.
- Validate and certify invoices by verifying supporting documentation for expense reports.
- Advise on budgetary concerns related to travel acting as a liaison with finance managers and vendors.
- Ensure efficient and accurate data entry related to financial transactions.
- Assist with auditing and quality improvement initiatives within the financial department.
Required Skills:
- 2 years in an accounting role with experience in analyzing financial reports.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Excel with strong data entry skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities along with customer service experience.
- Experience working with State County or Federal budgets is highly desired.
- Familiarity with expense auditing and validation processes is a plus.
