Position: Staff Nurse (RN)
Location: Logansport IN (46947)
Client: State of Indiana
Duration: 12 Months
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Staff Nurse (RN) to provide comprehensive nursing care within a state hospital environment. This role involves coordinating patient care developing treatment plans and ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment for patients. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical skills and the ability to effectively communicate with both patients and support staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patient health problems and develop nursing care plans.
- Administer medications and maintain accurate medical records.
- Direct support staff and facilitate teamwork within the unit.
- Provide education to patients and families regarding treatment goals.
- Respond to emergencies and maintain safety standards.
Required Skills:
- Indiana Registered Nurse License.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (Cerner/EPIC preferred).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work with diverse patient populations.
- Current CPR certification (training available).
