Job Description
Job Title: Senior Estimator
Location: Staten Island NY
MUST HAVE:
- Minimum 10 years of experience strictly as an estimator in the NYC heavy civil market (excavation foundations deep foundation drilling concrete superstructure bridges heavy roadways and infrastructure).
- Must have routinely bid on projects over $.
- Must have insight into typical means and methods and a strong grasp of production.
- Experience must be solely in the NYC heavy civil market with NYCbased projects. No other markets will qualify.
- Minimum 3 years as the lead estimator responsible for wrapping up the bid/proposal completing bidbooks and bid forms and finalizing submissions.
- Proficiency in Excel Adobe PDF and Bluebeam.
- 5 years of direct agency bidding experience (NYC DDC DEP DOT SCA Parks Dept Sanitation Dept). Jersey experience is a plus.
- Must have worked at each employer for at least 3 years.
- Experience must be with contractors; conceptual estimating will not be considered.
- Prefer candidates within a 90120minute commuting radius.
NICE TO HAVE:
- Experience identifying projects to bid on and bringing opportunities to the employer.
- CAD proficiency.
- Jersey experience.
