Job Title: Regional Property Manager
Location: Maryland (Hybrid Remote with Weekly Travel)
Job Type: Fulltime

ABOUT THE FIRM

A wellestablished and growing property management firm specializing in affordable housing is seeking a dedicated Regional Property Manager to oversee a portfolio of 7 properties with 552 units. This role is ideal for a motivated professional looking to contribute to a missiondriven organization that values teamwork compliance and operational excellence.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Regional Property Manager will be responsible for the daily operations financial performance and overall management of the assigned portfolio. The role requires a strong understanding of affordable housing programs compliance requirements and financial management to ensure properties operate efficiently and within budget. This position will report to the Assistant Vice President and collaborate with internal teams external housing authorities and other stakeholders.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversee the daily operations of the assigned portfolio ensuring compliance with all regulations and company policies.
  • Maximize Net Operating Income (NOI) by implementing effective cost control and revenueenhancing strategies.
  • Minimize vacancies by overseeing leasing strategies resident retention efforts and marketing initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with affordable housing regulations including LowIncome Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) HUDSection 8 and Rural Development programs.
  • Provide leadership training and performance management to onsite property managers and staff.
  • Develop and manage annual budgets monitor financial performance and implement costsaving measures.
  • Foster strong relationships with local housing authorities vendors contractors and other stakeholders.
  • Participate in quarterly meetings training programs and annual conferences to stay updated on industry best practices.
  • Conduct regular site visits to ensure properties are maintained according to company and regulatory standards.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Regional/District Manager in residential property management (500 units preferred).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in affordable housing including LIHTC HUDSection 8 and Rural Development.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a supervisory role including recruiting training and team leadership.
  • Strong financial management skills including budgeting reporting and expense control.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel Outlook); experience with Yardi Voyager or similar property management software preferred.
  • Bachelors degree preferred (High School diploma or GED required).
  • Industry certifications in affordable housing management are a plus (or willingness to obtain).
  • Ability to travel weekly within the assigned region and attend quarterly meetings and annual conferences (may require overnight stays).
  • Strong organizational time management and problemsolving skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fastpaced environment.
  • Excellent communication and relationshipbuilding skills with a focus on collaboration and operational excellence.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
  • Competitive salary range of $87000 $95000 (depending on experience skills and qualifications).
