Job Description

Mission of This Position

CClient is seeking its first Executive Director to support their growing programs. These programs support individuals impacted by dementia and their care partners through equine assisted workshops sensory engagement kits and training for barns and facilitators who are drawn to this work. In this leadership role you will oversee donor relations fundraising community engagement and strategic program expansion while working closely with the Founders and Board to achieve longterm organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborative Leadership: Develop and implement organizational goals and vision in partnership with the Founders and Board. Lead the team in executing the strategic plan.
  • Fundraising & Development: Drive annual fundraising goals through grants events sponsorships and donor engagement.
  • Program Management & Expansion: Oversee and scale equineassisted programs ensuring they are impactful timely and budgetconscious.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate strategic partnerships with community organizations academic institutions and media. Serve as the public face of the Organisation.
  • Operational Excellence: Ensure the seamless execution of programs including the Barn Partner Program and Sensory Engagement Program while maintaining compliance with financial legal and ethical standards.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelors degree required; a degree in nonprofit management or a related field is preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in nonprofit or related sectors.
  • Proven success in nonprofit leadership fundraising and program development.
  • Experience in dementia care and/or equineassisted programs is a plus.
