Fulltime Permanent September 2025 Start

Are you a passionate and creative Teacher of Art and Design with a specialism in Textiles Do you want to inspire students to express themselves through art and design We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher to join our thriving Art department in a secondary school in Hounslow.

About the School:

Our school is a vibrant and inclusive learning community where students are encouraged to explore their creativity and develop their artistic talents. We provide a stimulating and supportive environment where students can experiment with different materials and techniques.

About the Art Department:

The Art department is a collaborative and supportive team with a shared passion for fostering students artistic development. We offer a rich and engaging curriculum that covers a wide range of art forms including textiles.

About the Role:

  • Teach Art and Design with a focus on Textiles across Key Stages 3 and 4 potentially Key Stage 5.
  • Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons.
  • Guide students in using a variety of textiles and techniques.
  • Develop students understanding of design principles and creative processes.
  • Assess student progress set targets and provide constructive feedback.
  • Contribute to the departments curriculum development.
  • Foster a love of art and design in students.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds QTS or equivalent.
  • Possesses excellent subject knowledge in Art and Design with a specialism in Textiles.
  • Demonstrates a passion for teaching Art and Design.
  • Has strong communication interpersonal and classroom management skills.
  • Is confident in building rapport with students and fostering a positive learning environment.
