Systems Administrator to support the client’s Information Technology team. The ideal candidate will have the following experience:
- 5 years’ Windows Server Experience
- 5 years’ Linux Server Experience
- 5 years’ Cloud Experience (AWS and Azure)
- 5 years’ Data Center Infrastructure Experience
Responsibilities - Act as a senior technical escalation point for server infrastructure (Windows Server Linux Server AWS Azure).
- Implement and administer Windows Server and Linux Server services security policies patching standards and procedures in coordination with TxDOT Security and Information Security services.
- Oversee and Interface with service provider support as needed including opening tickets with TxDOT Vendors when support is needed.
- Provide Windows and Linux support for TxDOT systems in datacenters and in the cloud environments.
- Administer and support Active Directory/Entra ID directory services.
- Administer Federation Services within the directory services environment other Federated Services and similar applications.
- Participate in the annual review of machine plans and workload forecasts with TxDOT.
- Advise (or manage) any upgrade or configuration change of an existing operating system.
- Advise on technical strategies new technologies and trends.
- Work with and provide input on solutions from TxDOT and DIR STS Architects
- Work with Applications tower to implement any application changes and upgrades.
- Manage ticket queues as appropriate.
- Create/ Advise on processes.
- Participate on call rotation.
- Ability to work with Multiple vendors.
- Assist in audit processes.
