Job Description

Job Dimensions:
The Commissioning ICSS/Instrument Leader will assist and support the Commissioning Site Head in supervising the CPP EPCIC Contractors activities related to the commissioning of CPP Topside Flare Tower and Bridges both during the preparation and execution phases. This role will be based in Doha UlsanSouth Korea and offshore ALS field.

The Commissioning ICSS/Instrument Leader will report directly to the Commissioning Site Head and will be responsible for the following key tasks:


Key Responsibilities:

1. Commissioning Preparation:

  • Review and ensure the accuracy of the commissioning preparation by the contractor including ICAPS database population RFC preparation OTPs preparation and procedures.
  • Supervise precommissioning and commissioning preparation and execution at fabrication sites offshore AlShaheen field ensuring ontime delivery of readytooperate installations.
  • Lead the CPP Commissioning Supervisors Team during Onshore/Offshore project phases.
  • Manage activities from the Ready for Commissioning (RFC) status to completion of commissioning activities.
  • Assess and ensure tasks are executed safely and on schedule.
  • Effectively communicate and adhere to HSE worksite instructions and policies intervening as needed to address HSE deficiencies.

2. EPCIC PreCommissioning/Commissioning Preparation Phase:

  • Implement and ensure compliance with all precommissioning/commissioning discipline requirements as per the contract.
  • Review the preparation of commissioning procedures and reporting tools (including technical databases planning and punch lists) prepared by contractors.
  • Ensure safety protocols are adhered to by both the contractor and company teams.
  • Optimize onshore commissioning to minimize lost time and manage project interfaces efficiently.
  • Coordinate with other project disciplines and entities to streamline operations.
  • Ensure comprehensive precommissioning and commissioning procedures including Operational Test Procedures (OTPs).
  • Ensure the timely availability of necessary spare parts consumables and special tools.
  • Attend ICSS FAT or any other required FATs during the preparation phase.

3. EPCIC Commissioning Execution Phase:

  • Follow and supervise the contractor s instrument commissioning activities using OPERCOM Methodology and ICAPS (Integrated Commissioning and Progress System).
  • Track and ensure the completion of commissioning activities on schedule.
  • Oversee the reporting of commissioning execution ensuring all technical and contractual information is recorded and available for inspection as required.
  • Monitor the progress of red line markup drawings and SIL requirements for the project.
  • Supervise and follow up on vendor commissioning scope including SAT OTPs documentation updates punch list closures and reporting.


Requirements

Qualifications & Experience Required:

  • Qualification: Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 15 years in the offshore oil & gas industry with at least 10 years in a lead commissioning role.
    • Proven track record in leadership and problemsolving within the commissioning process.
  • Skills:
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Ability to manage complex and multicultural project environments.
    • Proficiency with industry standards OPERCOM ICAPS PRODOM and other relevant codes and standards.
    • Computer literate with a working knowledge of commissioning tools and systems.
  • Languages: Fluent in English.
  • Certifications/Training:
    • H2S OPITO Electrical Habilitation Level1 and TBOSIET trainings are required.
  • Other Requirements:
    • Availability for global technical missions.
