Job Description
ERP SAVVY is seeking an experienced and dynamic Oracle DBA Director to lead our database administration team in London. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Oracle database management excellent leadership skills and a strategic mindset to drive our database operations to the next level.
Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Strategy:
- Lead and mentor a team of Oracle DBAs providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and professional growth.
- Develop and implement strategic plans for database management aligning with the companys goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with other IT leaders to integrate database solutions with overall IT infrastructure and business strategies.

Database Management:
- Oversee the installation configuration and maintenance of Oracle databases.
- Ensure the availability performance and security of Oracle databases.
- Plan and execute database upgrades migrations and patch management.
- Monitor database performance and implement tuning and optimization strategies.

Security and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations for database security and data protection.
- Implement and maintain robust security measures to protect sensitive data.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify and mitigate security risks.

Backup and Recovery:
- Develop and maintain comprehensive backup and recovery plans.
- Ensure regular backups are performed and tested for data integrity.
- Manage disaster recovery planning and execution.

Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with application development teams to support databaserelated needs and projects.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders providing updates on database performance issues and initiatives.
- Foster a collaborative environment within the team and across departments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field. A Masters degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Oracle database administration with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle database architecture performance tuning and security best practices.
- Experience with cloudbased database solutions and migrations.
- Excellent problemsolving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
