JOB TITLE: Assistant Project Manager
LOCATION: Lagos and Crossriver
TYPE OF EMPLOYMENT: Full time Onsite.
SALARY BUDGET: Net monthly
EXPERIENCE LENGTH: At least 3 years
SUMMARY
We are seeking a proactive and detailoriented Construction Professional to assist in managing multiple commercial construction projects across Lagos and Cross River. The role involves coordinating project teams handling vendor negotiations preparing estimates and contracts reviewing subcontractor submissions and identifying business development opportunities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in leading the project team; takes initiative in managing information establishing expectations and maintaining quality and cost effectiveness in the overall project.
- Solicit vendors for pricing; recommends contract awards.
- Assemble and prepare complete and wellthoughtout estimates; perform quantity takeoffs and bid evaluations; clarify specific information and assumptions.
- Prepare accurate and concise contracts subcontracts and purchase orders.
- Chase and review subcontractor submittals verifying conformance to contract documents.
- Spot business development opportunities; performs followup calls chasing bids; helps to negotiate and close deals.
- Handle multiple projects simultaneously at various stages and locations applying a strong knowledge of construction trades.
Requirements
- Degree in engineering or construction management from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in the commercial construction industry.
- Able to foresee and circumvent risk appropriately.
- Ability to lead teams collaboratively; able to delegate tasks and follow up.
- Good presentation skills; ability to persuade others; good negotiation skills.
