The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Software Engineer I Payables to contribute to the development of Flywires payables platform ensuring seamless automated and secure payment processing. This role will focus on building and optimizing payment workflows integrating financial systems and supporting compliance with global payment regulations. The ideal candidate will have foundational programming skills a problemsolving mindset and an eagerness to learn in a fastpaced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop test and maintain payables processing software that supports Flywires global payment operations.
- Assist in integrating thirdparty payment providers banking systems and financial institutions to enhance payment processing capabilities.
- Collaborate with product managers senior engineers and finance teams to understand payment workflows and implement improvements.
- Write clean efficient and maintainable code following industry best practices and security standards.
- Debug and troubleshoot payment processing issues ensuring smooth and errorfree transactions.
- Support the development of automated financial reporting and reconciliation tools.
- Stay informed about emerging payment technologies compliance requirements and security best practices in fintech.
Qualifications :
What We Are Looking For:
We are looking for a junior software engineer with a strong foundation in backend development APIs and financial transaction processing.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in computer science software engineering or a related field.
- 02 years of experience in software development preferably in fintech payments or financial services.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python Java JavaScript or Go.
- Understanding of payment processing systems financial transactions and API integrations.
- Familiarity with databases (SQL and NoSQL) and experience writing queries for data processing.
- Basic knowledge of cloudbased architectures (AWS GCP or Azure) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong problemsolving skills with an ability to work in a fastpaced collaborative environment.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively and document solutions clearly.
- Fluency in English and Spanish is preferred.
